Well, I got the crown vic front suspension into my F100. And got a fender on to see what sort of wheel clearance I can get away with.

Up next is new master cylinder, brake lines, rotors, pads, and paint the calipers black.

Is this a common swap or are you pioneering it? I've always wondered how much better my truck would drive without twin I beam front end

It is decently common. There is not any really good documentation on it but it is decently straight forward.

I was looking for a drop, handling and disc brake upgrade and this ticked all the boxes.

An unbelievable amount of measuring and remeasuring and measuring 5 more times just to be sure.

There are two locator bosses in the crown vic cross member. Really all you have to do is get those two right and it’s all down hill from there.

I already have discs up front fortunately. Want discs all around. Handling and stopping power are often overlooked in old trucks. Those are my two primary concerns to address first.

That is my next project. An Explorer rear axle, they are about the correct width, have disc, and lots of them came with LSDs. Then add a 4 link to that. It should end up being a decent handling thing when it is all said and done.
